Spirit Chasers Rules and Terms
  • No Alcohol or drugs before or during an investigation.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older to join our group.

  • No Smoking during an investigation. You will be allowed to take "smoke breaks" in designated areas that will not interfere with photos being taken on the site.

  • No Trespassing on private property. Respect all "No Trespassing" signs posted and always get permission beforehand.

  • Keep identification on you at all times.

  • When taking photos:
--Either keep your camera strap wrapped around your wrist or completely remove it from your camera. This is to rule out the possibility of camera straps instead of vortices.

--Always keep your camera lens clean.

--Never take photos in weather conditions such as rain, snow, fog, hail or when it's real windy or dusty. These conditions can cause false anomalies in your photos.

--Avoid taking photos of a place with a light source or direct sunlight. Don't take pictures through a window or a glass surface.

--Always ask the spirits permission to take their photo and thank them before leaving an investigation. We do this out of respect and it has been known to produce great results.

--Never go into a site and just start taking pictures left and right. Give the spirits there a little time to get used to your presence.

  • If you decide to venture off by yourself during a group investigation, Please inform the director or a senior team member and let them know where you will be at all times. This is for your safety.

  • Keep with you at all times, plenty of fresh batteries for your equipment and flashlights. Spirits are known to "drain" batteries and you will find that you will have to replace them frequently.

  • RESPECT IS A MUST! If at a cemetery, or anywhere for that matter, you must be respectful of the deceased and respect all property. Vandalism will not be tolerated.

  • Always check an area out in the daytime before going there at night. This is so you can be aware of your surroundings and for safety reasons.

  • Respect other team members. If you have a problem with anyone, please take it up with the director or solve this problem outside of an investigation.

  • No horseplay will be tolerated on location! All team members are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and serious manner, Especially during investigations of residences and businesses.

  • No negative attitudes during investigations as they are counter productive and will hamper an investigation. We welcome positive attitudes and an open mind.
